Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight against breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second October Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise money for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air raised over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his workers both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider said. “While the amount of cases is actually going down each year, that still represents a significant number of families who are struggling with this disease, and therefore we have an immediate need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, seconded Schneider’s thoughts. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in our state – for women and men.”
